Our Pilates Instructors are all graduates of The Pilates Center Advanced Teacher Training Program and are comprehensively trained in classical Pilates.
Our Yoga instructors share a common yoga lineage and a strong foundation built on their extensive practice and teaching of the Classic Bikram series and have all completed internationally recognized teacher trainings.
We prioritise and encourage continual teacher development through regular mentoring and continuing education to ensure that our instructors continue to evolve and grow as teachers.
Brian is the co-owner and program director of Club Stretch in Dubai, UAE and a graduate of The Pilates Center in Boulder, Colorado in the USA. He completed The Pilates Center’s Advanced Teacher Training Program in 2001 and The Pilates Center’s Masters Program in 2012. He has been teaching classical Pilates full time since 2001 in Dubai where he introduced classical Pilates to the UAE and opened Club Stretch in July, 2003. Before moving to Dubai in 2001, Brian had a successful practice as a Deep Tissue Sports Massage Therapist in Salt Lake City, Utah for 14 years. He worked closely with dancers from Ballet West, and athletes from The University of Utah’s Swimming and Diving Teams. His extensive background in manual therapies and human anatomy has served him well as a movement educator in the Pilates and Yoga studio.
Lia moved to Dubai from a small town in Greece in February 2011 to be a flight attendant with Emirates Airlines and discover the world. The heavy workload of the job led to chronic back pain and she was told that Pilates could help. Lia started Pilates sessions at Club Stretch in September 2014 to help her to recover. Just five sessions made a major difference to her body and kept her motivated to explore the endless benefits of Pilates. As she spent more and more time practicing Pilates became a way of life and she realized that she would like to become an instructor and share the benefits with others. She enrolled in The Pilates Center’s Advanced Teacher Training Program offered at Club Stretch in March, 2015 and successfully completed the program in the summer of 2016. She has also continued her commitment to learning by attending summer workshops at the renowned Bluebird Pilates in Munich, Germany in August 2016. Lia is passionate about practicing and teaching Pilates and is excited to be a part of the Club Stretch Team.
Holly has been passionate about movement all of her life. Having danced since she was 5 years old, she completed a Bachelor of Performing Arts (Dance), majoring in ballet and contemporary dance, at the prestigious Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts and later danced professionally and toured around Europe.
Pilates had always been an essential part of her dance training to stay fit and prevent injuries and once she moved to Dubai she sought to fulfill her dream of gaining her Pilates teaching certification so she could share the immense benefit that Pilates has to offer for your well being and life.
Trudi moved to Dubai from New Zealand and teaches exclusively for Club Stretch.
Having experienced many different styles of yoga over the years, Trudi became a strong believer in the healing power of the Bikram Yoga series after a serious skiing accident left her with a fractured spine and chronic pain. The pain persisted 18 months after the accident and even walking was sometimes difficult. Determined to find a way out of pain she attended her first Bikram class and never looked back. Within 6 months she was no longer in any pain. That was nearly 9 years ago and she still regularly practices and teaches Bikram yoga today.
In addition to her training as a Bikram Yoga Instructor, Trudi completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition and Sports & Exercise Science at Massey University, Auckland, New Zealand. She has also completed training in Yin Yoga and workshops based on Tony Sanchez’s Master Core Sequence.
The Classic Plus is an Intermediate level progression of the Bikram yoga series and incorporates around 40 of the classic 84 asanas that are found in the Ghosh lineage of Yoga.
Trudi brings a compassionate discipline to her teaching and always aims to help her students find their true potential.
