GROUP Class Descriptions

Our Yoga Program offers a complementary mix ofClassic Bikram, Absolute Hot Yoga, Classic Plus, and Yin Yoga

Classic Bikram – 90 min

The 26 postures and two breathing exercises combined with an intentionally heated studio are what make a Bikram Yoga class uniquely therapeutic and effective.

The heat helps to warm the muscles and increases circulation allowing students to more safely move into the postures. It also promotes sweating which helps to cleanse and detoxify. Our studio is kept at a comfortable 40C. which in just slightly higher than normal body temperature.

Each posture is performed twice allowing the student to explore their body on the first set and then try to go a bit deeper on the second set.

This class is challenging but accessible which makes it our first choice for beginners.

Classic Bikram – 60 min

26 postures and 2 breathing exercises taught in a more flowing 60 minutes sequence. The more fluid setups and less formal breaks mean you may feel better prepared for this class after attending several 90 minute Core 26 classes. The studio is heated to 40 °C for this class.

Classic Plus

This class format expands on the traditional Bikram series with an additional 14+ postures including a variety of sun salutations, back bends, arm balances, core exercises, and hip openers. This 90 min sequence offers a more dynamic flow designed to challenge the intermediate practitioner. The room is warm but not hot.

Absolute Hot Yoga

A high-energy series of 50 classic yoga poses in a fixed sequence that promotes balance, strength, flexibility, and overall wellness. The heat allows you to stretch deeply, cleanse your body, and calm your mind. The Absolute Hot Series is great for beginners, intermediate, and even advanced students. The room is heated to 40 °C for this class.

Yin Yoga

Yin yoga is a somewhat different practice to the more yang yoga styles we typically offer at Club Stretch. However, Yin yoga is a great compliment to any yang style yoga and serves to complete your yoga practice.

Yin consists of three principles Duration, Stillness and Intensity. Suitable for all levels of students, this practice of yoga requires students to be ready to get intimate with The Self, with feelings, sensations, and emotions. It requires calming and balancing to both mind and body, restoring deeper relaxation and ultimately allowing a better Yang practice. Incorporating both Yin and Yang Yoga will create a more well-rounded practice as well as a better-rounded version of yourself!
